Forcepoint NGFW Administrator Training – Certification Preparation

In three days you become self-sufficient administering the Forcepoint next-generation firewall and its central console, the Security Management Center (SMC). You build access and NAT policies, switch on traffic inspection and malware detection, set up VPNs and work with logs and reports. The course follows Forcepoint's published administrator outline and prepares you for the Certified Forcepoint NGFW Administrator exam. Every module is paired with lab exercises on a working environment, so by the end you have configured, tested and monitored a firewall end to end rather than just watched slides.

Prerequisites

Target audience

The exam

The Certified Forcepoint NGFW Administrator credential is based on a multiple-choice exam that you take on your own after the course, not during the sessions. You need at least 80% to pass. Questions cover the whole outline, from architecture through policies, inspection and VPNs to troubleshooting. This certification is the entry requirement for the NGFW System Engineer course. We use the final afternoon of the course for a guided review and practice questions.

Preparation tips

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

How long is the Forcepoint NGFW Administrator course?

Three days, or 24 hours, mixing lectures, demonstrations and hands-on work in the SMC console.

What score do I need to get certified?

At least 80% on the multiple-choice exam, taken after the course. The questions reward practical understanding, so time spent in the lab pays off more than rereading slides.

Is the course now called Secure SD-WAN Administrator?

Some recent Forcepoint listings refer to a Secure SD-WAN Administrator course, which belongs to the same product line. We confirm the current version and title with you at registration.

What comes after this course?

The NGFW System Engineer course, open to certified administrators, goes deeper into clusters, distributed deployments, multi-link and TLS inspection. It suits engineers who build or maintain larger, multi-site deployments.

Which delivery formats are available?

Live online, in person in Casablanca or on-site at your organization, in French or English. On-site sessions can be adapted to the firewall architecture you actually run.
