Check Point CCVS VSX Specialist Certification Preparation

This course teaches you to consolidate many firewalls onto one platform with Check Point VSX (Virtual System Extension). You install VSX gateways, create Virtual Systems, build virtual routing, set up high availability and load-sharing clusters, then tune and troubleshoot the whole environment. It prepares you for the Check Point Certified VSX Specialist (CCVS) accreditation, exam 156-551 (R81), and runs live online, in person in Casablanca or on-site at your organization, in French or English. Hands-on labs follow every module, from building a first Virtual System to performance tuning and upgrades.

The exam

The CCVS accreditation for R81 is earned by passing exam 156-551, which succeeds the older R80.x-based 156-550. The exam is offered in English by Pearson VUE, at a test center or with online proctoring. CCVS is an Infinity Specialist Accreditation: two of them earned after CCSE lead to CCSM, two more to CCSM Elite, and each accreditation you pass extends a valid CCSE, CCSM or CCSM Elite by one year.

Preparation tips

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

What is Check Point VSX used for?

VSX lets you run many independent virtual firewalls, called Virtual Systems, on a single gateway or cluster. Each Virtual System has its own policy, which suits data centers, service providers and MSSPs.

What is the CCVS exam code?

The R81 version is exam 156-551. The older 156-550 covered R80.x.

Is CCSE required?

CCSA and CCSE are expected as prerequisites, because the course assumes you already master Check Point administration and clustering.

How long is the course?

We set the length on request, based on your team's starting level and the format you choose. Intensive live online sessions, classroom days in Casablanca and on-site delivery can all be arranged; contact us and we will propose a schedule that covers every module and its labs.

Which formats do you offer?

Live online, in person in Casablanca or on-site at your organization, in French or English. Private sessions for a single team are also possible.
