Check Point CCME Maestro Expert Certification Preparation
This three-day course is for engineers who run, or are about to deploy, Check Point Maestro, the hyperscale network security solution. You will see how orchestrators spread traffic across gateways, how to create and manage Security Groups, how to diagnose a running system, and how to operate dual orchestrator and dual site designs. It prepares you for the Check Point Certified Maestro Expert (CCME) accreditation, exam 156-836. Sessions run live online, in person in Casablanca or on-site at your organization, in French or English.

The exam
The CCME accreditation is awarded when you pass exam 156-836, booked with Pearson VUE and taken at a test center or with online proctoring. CCME is one of the Infinity Specialist Accreditations: with a valid CCSE, two accreditations lead to CCSM and two more to CCSM Elite. Each accreditation you pass also extends a valid CCSE, CCSM or CCSM Elite by one year. The topic rewards hands-on skill, so plan to redo the diagnostics and dual orchestrator exercises before sitting the exam.
Preparation tips
Sketch a packet's path through the orchestrator to the gateway
Practise collecting and reading a full diagnostics bundle
Review the commands specific to the SMO and Security Groups
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
What is Check Point Maestro?
It is Check Point's hyperscale architecture: orchestrators spread traffic across several gateways grouped into Security Groups, which are managed as a single object. Adding capacity means adding gateways to a group rather than replacing hardware.
Do I need CCSE to take CCME?
Check Point lists CCSA and CCSE as prerequisites. Without that level, the clustering and performance concepts will be hard to follow.
What is the CCME exam code?
The current exam is 156-836, taken with Pearson VUE at a test center or online.
Does CCME count toward CCSM?
Yes, it is an Infinity Specialist Accreditation. Combined with another accreditation and a valid CCSE, it earns you CCSM.
Can the course be run for our team only?
Yes. We can run it on-site at your organization or as a private live online class, in French or English, and adapt the examples to your own Maestro topology and upgrade plans.
