Microsoft AZ-900 Certification Preparation: Azure Fundamentals
This one-day course gives you a clear picture of cloud computing and Microsoft Azure without deep technical prerequisites. You explore service models, core Azure services, cost management and governance, then practise with AZ-900 style questions. It is a natural first step before AZ-104 or SC-900. Concepts are illustrated with live demos in the Azure portal and examples drawn from real projects.

The exam
The AZ-900 exam lasts 45 minutes and usually contains 40 to 60 questions (multiple choice, drag and drop, hot area). You sit it through Pearson VUE at a test centre or online with a remote proctor, and need a score of 700 to pass. It is offered in many languages, including English, French and Arabic. Fundamentals certifications do not expire, so there is no renewal to plan for. Microsoft also offers a free exam sandbox so you can try the interface before exam day.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Is AZ-900 worth it if I am not technical?
Yes. It gives you a shared vocabulary for talking with technical teams, reading cloud quotes and following a migration project without getting lost. Many sales, procurement and project staff take it to gain credibility with customers and colleagues.
Is one day enough to pass?
For most people with an IT background, yes, when combined with a few hours of revision and Microsoft's free practice assessment. We close the day with a set of exam-style questions reviewed together, so you know exactly which points to revisit.
Is the exam available in French and Arabic?
Yes, both appear among the languages Microsoft offers for AZ-900, alongside English and many others. If your language is not available, Microsoft lets you request 30 extra minutes.
Does it expire?
No. Fundamentals certifications remain valid with no renewal required, unlike Associate and Expert certifications.
Is AZ-900 required before AZ-104?
No, but it helps beginners approach AZ-104 with solid foundations and a clear map of the Azure services. Candidates who already administer Azure day to day can go straight to AZ-104.
