Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Is FortiManager NSE 5 or NSE 6?
Since Fortinet's programme overhaul in July 2026, the FortiManager 7.6 Administrator exam sits in NSE 6 Secure Networking. The former NSE 5 FortiManager exam was last delivered on 15 July 2026.
Do I need the FortiGate course first?
Fortinet recommends knowing the topics of the FortiOS (FortiGate) Administrator course. Without that base, policy and object concepts are hard to follow.
What language is the exam in?
The exam is offered in English or Japanese. The course itself can be taken in French or English, and we review the English exam terminology throughout so you are comfortable on the day.
How long is the exam?
70 minutes for 30 to 40 questions, with a pass/fail result available in your Pearson VUE account.
Which version is covered?
FortiManager 7.6 managing FortiOS 7.6 devices, which are the versions the current exam is based on. We point out the main differences if your production estate still runs an earlier release.
