The exam
The CCES R81.20 accreditation is awarded when you pass exam 156-536, booked with Pearson VUE and taken at a test center or with online proctoring. It is one of the Infinity Specialist Accreditations: two of them earned after CCSE lead to CCSM, and two more to CCSM Elite. Each accreditation you pass also extends a valid CCSE, CCSM or CCSM Elite by one year. To prepare, plan to redo the deployment and troubleshooting labs after the session.
Preparation tips
Deploy a client to a virtual machine and watch each step
Trigger a simulated threat and follow the response in the console
Review the usual reasons clients lose contact with the server
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Does CCES cover on-premises or cloud management?
Both. The course starts with an on-premises management server, then covers Harmony Endpoint management as a service, with an optional lab on migrating to the cloud.
What is the CCES exam code?
The R81.20 exam is 156-536. It is delivered by Pearson VUE, either at a test center near you or online with a remote proctor, so you can sit it from Casablanca or anywhere else.
Do I need CCSA to take CCES?
No Check Point certification is required. You do need to be comfortable with Windows, networking and system administration.
Does CCES count toward CCSM?
Yes. With a valid CCSE and two specialist accreditations, CCES being one of them, you earn CCSM.
How is the course delivered?
Live online, in person in Casablanca or on-site at your organization, in French or English, with labs in every module.
