PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification Preparation – 2026 Exam

PMP is the benchmark credential for experienced project managers. Since July 2026 the exam follows a new content outline that puts more weight on the business environment, value delivery and agile and hybrid approaches. Formats include single and multiple-response items, matching, hot spots, drop-down lists and, new this edition, case studies and graphic-based questions. About 40% of items cover predictive approaches and the rest agile and hybrid. You sit it at a Pearson VUE centre or online, in languages including French and Arabic. The certification lasts three years and is maintained with 60 PDUs per cycle.

Preparation tips

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Does this course count towards PMI's 35 contact hours?

Securevalley is not a PMI Authorized Training Partner. According to PMI, from 1 December 2026 a live course, in person or online, only counts if delivered by an ATP, a China REP or an eligible accredited university program. Our live course is therefore exam preparation; based on published guidance, training completed before 1 December 2026 still counts under the current rules. For the 35 hours, PMI also accepts a self-paced online course from any organization or an active CAPM: check your eligibility path with PMI before you enrol.

What changed with the 2026 PMP exam?

The weightings are now 33% People, 41% Process and 26% Business Environment. The exam brings in AI, sustainability and business value, with case studies and graphic-based questions.
