Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Is Edge SWG the same as ProxySG?
Edge SWG is the current name for Symantec's on-premises web gateway, which runs SGOS like ProxySG did. This R2 course targets the current Edge SWG release, so ProxySG administrators will recognise much of the platform while learning the newer management and reporting tools.
Is this course enough for exam 250-589?
It covers most of it; Broadcom also recommends the Diagnostics & Troubleshooting R2 module, so we add diagnostic exercises and point you to the remaining troubleshooting topics.
Do I need to know CPL?
No. The course relies on the Visual Policy Manager and introduces CPL in an appendix, which helps when you need to read or fine-tune generated policy.
Which formats and languages?
Live online, in person in Casablanca or on-site at your organization, in French or English.
Is Securevalley a Broadcom partner?
No. This is independent training based on the outline Broadcom publishes, without Broadcom-branded courseware or official completion certificates.
