Infoblox NIOS DDI Troubleshooting – NIOS DDI Expert (INE) Certification Preparation

This two-day (13-hour) course teaches you to diagnose and fix failures in an Infoblox NIOS infrastructure: Grid connectivity, high-availability pairs, and DNS and DHCP services. It is built on case studies drawn from real incidents, so you learn to find the root cause and then apply the right recovery method. It is the natural next step toward the NIOS DDI Expert (INE) certification. It is aimed at administrators who already run NIOS in production and want to cut recovery time when an incident hits.

Prerequisites

Target audience

The exam

The NIOS DDI Expert (INE) certification is the third level of the NIOS DDI path, after Operator and Administrator. The exam has 80 to 90 questions in 3 hours, including up to 10 unscored ones, and the pass mark is 80%. It is taken online through Kryterion Webassessor, unproctored and open-book, in a single sitting. You may make six attempts in twelve months, with a 24-hour wait after a failed attempt. The product certification is valid for two years. INE is a certification name, not a course code.

Preparation tips

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Is the course 2 or 3 days long?

Infoblox lists NIOS DDI Troubleshooting as a 2-day (13-hour) course in its training partner catalog. Some older course sheets showed three days; we follow the vendor's current length, split into three workshops covering the Grid, DNS and DHCP.

Is this course enough to pass INE?

It covers troubleshooting, but the Expert exam also draws on advanced administration. Solid NIOS practice and a review of the Operator and Administrator levels are still needed.

Is the exam proctored?

No. Infoblox describes it as an online, unproctored, open-book exam taken in a single sitting on Webassessor. Set up a stable computer and a reliable connection: once started, the exam cannot be paused and resumed later.

Must I hold INA before taking the course?

It is not required to attend, but hands-on NIOS administration experience is essential to benefit from the course.

Which formats do you offer?

Live online, in person in Casablanca or on-site at your organization, in French or English, with a lab environment for each participant. For private sessions, the case studies can be adapted to your own Grid architecture.
